If you’re looking for something that genuinely pops against the usual sea of green, you simply must have a look at the Aglaonema 'Salmon Fantasy'. It’s a proper showstopper. While many Chinese Evergreens go for silvery patterns, this one looks like a watercolour painting—creamy greens splashed with these incredible, glowing salmon-pink midribs and freckles.

She’s not just a pretty face, either; she’s remarkably sturdy, making her perfect if you’re prone to the occasional bout of "plant forgetfulness."

The Lowdown on 'Salmon Fantasy'

  • Origin: This cultivar is a hybrid of species native to the tropical and subtropical rainforests of Southeast Asia (specifically Thailand and Malaysia).

  • Light: She’s quite flexible. She’ll tolerate lower light, but to keep those salmon hues vibrant, bright, indirect light is best. Just keep her out of the midday sun, or her leaves will scorch.

  • Watering: Wait until the top two or three centimetres of soil are dry before watering again. They don’t like "wet feet," so ensure she isn't sitting in a puddle in her decorative pot.

  • Humidity & Temp: She’s a fan of a warm room (standard UK central heating is usually fine). If the air feels a bit parched in winter, a quick misting or a gravel tray will keep her happy.

  • Soil: Use a well-draining, peat-free potting mix with a bit of perlite mixed in for aeration.

  • Toxicity: Warning: Like all Aglaonemas, this plant is toxic if ingested. It contains calcium oxalate crystals, which cause irritation to the mouth and throat. Best kept on a high shelf away from curious cats, dogs, or toddlers.

Sold without a decorative pot, colour and size may vary slightly.
