Sansevieria, also known as Snake Plant or Mother in law tongue, is a low-maintenance houseplant that improves air quality by removing toxins and producing oxygen at night. With its upright and architectural shape, it adds a touch of modern elegance to any space.

Sansevieria originates from arid regions of Africa, Madagascar, and Southern Asia, making it drought-tolerant with tough, fleshy leaves that store water.

Sansevieria Care Guide

  • Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light but adapts well to low light; avoid harsh, direct sun.
  • Watering: Water sparingly; allow soil to dry out completely between waterings (every few weeks, less in winter). Overwatering causes root rot. Water from bellow.
  • Soil: Use well-draining mix, like cactus/succulent soil, or add perlite/grit to standard potting mix.
  • Temperature/Humidity: Prefers typical room temperatures and normal household humidity; dislikes cold drafts.
  • Fertiliser: Feed lightly with a diluted cactus feed during the growing season (spring/summer).
  • Key Tips: Drought-Tolerant: It's better to underwater than overwater. Watering Technique: Water the soil, not the leaves, and ensure pots drain well.
  • Toxicity: Mildly toxic if ingested, keep away from pets and children.

Sold without decorative pot, colour and size may vary slightly.
