Care guide
- Light: Bright, indirect light; can tolerate some direct sun but avoid harsh afternoon rays.
- Watering: Water thoroughly when the top 1-3 inches of soil dry out; allow excess water to drain; prevent soggy soil to avoid root rot.
- Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures (16-25°C); keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
- Humidity: Moderate to high humidity is ideal; misting, a humidifier, or a pebble tray can help.
- Soil: Use a well-draining, peat-free potting mix with added bark or perlite.
- Fertilizer: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced houseplant fertilizer; reduce in winter.
- Pruning: Prune annually to maintain desired size and shape, encouraging a bushier look.
- Toxicity: The sap contains latex and can be a skin irritant; keep away from children and pets.
